Christmas is my favourite time of year, the whole of December is just magical. My family and I are all the same, we wait anxiously for the first moment it is socially acceptable to put up of Christmas tree and hang our lights and decorations. It is the best excuse to meet up with friends, having fun and drinking endless bottles of prosecco and red wine resulting in hangovers that last for days. Christmas means something different to everyone and it is important to appreciate how lucky we are to be surrounded by loving people and the opportunities we have to make the most of our lives.
absolutely LOVE buying gifts for people, they don't have to be extravagant but the thoughtful ones are the best. I love watching their reactions when they open it. It is your time to show someone you was thinking of them, and making personal touches. My friends and I do secret Santa every year and it is just so lovely, we all know each other so well! (we can even guess our Santa purely because of the hand written card)
When living a healthy, balanced lifestyle its OK to over indulge in the constant supply of chocolate and not passing off the opportunity to enjoy a cheese board, it's these little things that make your traditions. I want you to enjoy yourself, not regret any of your decisions. I say this to myself, my clients and anybody who I hear fret about 'Christmas gains', to just eat healthy where you can, make good choices and know that for these special days it is ok to 'slip up'.
I for one have not exercised in nearly 5 days, which is quite uncommon for me.. even if it is a little run or a quick yoga session. Although I am more than ok with this, I am starting to feel slightly lethargic so I am going to use some free time I have today to work up a major sweat! Work is winding down now so I have time to focus on ME :) I have sat down with nearly all of my clients (still have a couple more to go) setting goals for the new year and It is great to help them dig deep, it is amazing what you can come up with once you are on a roll. Tonight I will have a little pamper session and an early night, ready to feel revitalised tomorrow!
I hope you have a magical Christmas and a fabulous NYE, I look forward to what 2016 will bring. You may find my previous post 'Setting 2016 Goals' useful to kick start your ambitions and goals for the new year.
Make good choices, stay safe and most importantly enjoy yourself and love every minute of it!
I have some super exciting projects in the pipeline that I cannot wait to share with you. 2016 is going to be a hard year for me, for many reasons but I am feeling positive and up for the challenge!
Lots of love,
