A juice cleanse is something that I have had in my mind for a while. I understand the principles and the science behind juice cleanses, but was always a bit sceptical. I wondered what it would be like to just drink juice for a certain period of time, would you go crazy? would you become so hungry that you binge on everything in sight? I just didn't know the answer. I would often get asked my opinion, and I couldn't give an honest response if I hadn't tried it myself. This is what lead to me to the lovely team and Fruve Ju. I wanted to tell you the truth about juice cleanses, exactly how I felt, day by day. I have written a diary-like post below.
Juicing is a great way to add vegetables into your diet, in abundance. One thing I have leant from this cleanse is that I will definitely try harder to have at least one juice as a day as a snack or with a meal.
The cleanse is 6 juices per day for 5 days! You can drink as much water and caffeine free tea you like during your cleanse.
Day 1: As far are the juices are going, I am really enjoying them. They all have a specific function for each stage of the day, and they are tasty and I can quite literally taste the health in them, which I love. In terms of mood, I'm not HANGRY which I normally get after not eating for a couple of hours, but I am tired. I am currently laying on the sofa watching TV, on my 4th juice of the day and feel like I don't have the energy to get up. I was aware that this could be the initial feeling as I am preparing myself for the detoxification process. I am also quite hungry, I miss food already because I just love food!
